The Fishing Museum is open to the public you will find the history of the boat building and fishing fleet fascinating and well worth a visit.
Anstruther is on the north east of Fife not far from the home of golf - St Andrews. East Neuk as the area is called is famous for Scottish tourism and you will love the small community that is home of the best fish and chip shop in Scotland (Anstruther Fish and Chips) as well as the Scottish Fisheries Museum. Anstruther has many other interesting places to visit, the small pubs have not changed and still have authentic, and real, character and you will feel that time has stopped and you have gone back to the 60's. The marina at Anstruther brings colour and boats of all sizes, yachts and traditional fishing boats as well as original boats from the grand days when the communities around the east neuk were known and famous for it's fishing fleet.
