Websites on Owls
When looking for information a good place to start is often wikipedia and you will find considerable amount of information on owls on wiki. You are also able to watch pictures taken of Northern Barred Owls over several years on the Owlcam.com website as well as learning how to build an owl box for nesting and other information on owls on this North American website.
Throughout Britain there are wildlife centres that aim to educate as well as provide a great day out for all the family and one centre is dedicated to the Barn Owl, it is the Barn Owl Centre in Brockworth. Gloucester. You do need to book before going as the centre is not open to casual visitors, the website however is open to all and well worth a visit. Another UK site is based around the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary and the website has a lot of useful information on looking after injured Owls. Several years ago I rescued a small owl sitting in the middle of the road when it was nearing midnight. Unfortunately the bird was blind and the RSPB centre we had taken the bird to decided to put it to sleep as it was unkind to keep a bird of prey alife that could not see its prey. We felt sad, although at least we knew that the bird had been at least given a chance.
Below are a short list of wildlife sites that has information on Owls we will add more as we have time.
