Very GoodJune 10, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is very informative. It is small enough to take with me while walking in the field or keep in the car to identify wild flowers while driving through the country.

Petersons and Newcombs are excellent for identification, however this guide is good to have along in the day pack on a hike through the mountains. It provides interesting tidbits of information about the plants. It is just enough to wet your appetite for more wildflower folklore. Plus it is a great tool for identification.
I just used it to identify wetland plants and it was a great resource.
Also you can't beat the color photographs. I recommend it for first time users.
not as good as petersons guide to wild flowersAugust 23, 1998 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
not quite as good or easy to use as petersons guide to wildflowers. Check out petersons first. Then come here and look for this one. Even better books exist in places local to where you're looking at plants.
