A non-stop Page-turner June 4, 2004 Do you want to read a book that is a non-stop page-turner? I could not put this book down and could not keep quiet about it! You have to read the trilogy Guardians of gahoole The Capture, The journey, and The Rescue. This is a story about a small loveable barn owl named Soren that is kidnapped and sent to a place called St. Aggie's School for orphan owls. But it enslaves the minds of the owls for an army. There Soren meets Gylfie and Twilight but Soren and Twilight can't fly, and that is their only means of escape. Gylfie has to teach them in secret (it sounded like a secret mission to me). After avoiding the vile school temporarily they meet Digger, a small desert owl who can't fly, so he runs (it was pretty funny to me). They band together searching the Great Gahoole tree in search of help Join Soren in an epic adventure. I give it 3 thumbs up! People who love adventures would love this book! There is amazing detail you would feel as if you were there with Soren! You won't regret reading this book!
The Capture May 17, 2004 The Capture,By Katheryn Lasky,is the best book that i have ever read.It is about an owl named Soren whom was born in the forest of Tyto, a tranquil kingdom where the Barn owls dwell. But, Soren falls from his hollow in a tree and discovers that evil lurks in the owl world, and that that evil threatens to shatter Tyto's peace and change Soren's life forever.Soren finds this out when he is captured. And after this part, I can garentee that you will never put the book down until you have finished it.
The Owl Version of 1984 May 1, 2004 Owl eggs and babies are kidnapped and brought to a cruel and frightening place run by dictator-type owls...need I say more? Very disturbing book, actually - certainly not for younger children.
A Great Book!!!!!!!!! April 16, 2004 This book is awesome, great, good, magnificent, and everyother thing that I can think of that's positive. Soren gets pushed out fo his nest(I won't you by who), and is captured by some owls from an academy. The academy does some awful things to the young owls, but I won't tell you what. Soren meets Gylfie, an Elf Owl. She is extremely smart for a young owl and has a large vocabulary. I wont' tell you what happens, but I can assure you that this is a great book. Although it is worded simply, this doesn't affect the story. (...).Don't miss out on this book for anything!!!!!!!!!!
the capture April 15, 2004 "Noctus, our third one's about to arive,"Marilla said one night. Marilla was mom of two now three. The oldest is kludd, the new born is Englatine, and the middle and main character is Soren. They're a family of barn owls in the forest of Tyto. To practice flying , Soren would flap from branch to branchin their tree. But one day Soren falls out of the tree while flapping. While laying there, looking up at the nest, a great horned owl comes and picks her up. The owl flies her to an orhanage in the St. Aegolius Canyons. Every owl there is given a number, 12-1 is soren's. Every night they stand out and look at the full moon and chant their name. TThen when Soren meets a little owl named Gyflie she tells her that doing that moon blinks you. So they must learn t fly and get out. I think this was a good book because it had adventure and parts where you couldn't put it down. I recomend this to anyone who needs an adventure book.
