Interesting book August 8, 2000 I read this book for my summer reading requirement at school. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't really my type of book. It has a good story and plot, the charachters were amusing and captivating, and I reccommend that you read this book. Just because I didn't give it a perfect five star rating doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy it. I did enjoy it. And I think you will too.
Pretty good book August 5, 2000 I enjoyed this book. I read it for my summer reading requirement at my school. I liked the story, and everything else about it, except I wish I could have found out a little bit more about people's reactions at the end of the book. This is an interesting and weird and good book.
This book is great February 17, 2000 I really thought this book was quite good...it includes all the great problems and joys of being a wereowl. However, one thing I must say about this book is that you begin to find the crush on her teacher a bit shallow once you are into the book. Also, I solved it before the ending, but I enjoyed reading it, because I found the characters, and their problems quite well written out. Memorable characters include her parents, who are weird wiccan(perhaps)/hippies who live in a shack at the edge of the forest. Also, I found the teacher an interesting character towards the end. I would reccomend this book to those new to lite fantasy, or were-books.
Great. I loved it. November 14, 1999 This book is about a girl named Owl Tycho and she has this huge, huge crush on her science teacher. She watches him at night sleeping. Then she notices that there is this boy and this wierd owl that really can't fly well. She finally realizes that she likes the boy, sort of, even though he's not very nice towards her. He's only seen her in owl form. And then she gets in a fight with the other owl and when it falls into a bush, she finds out it's the boy and the boy is a shapeshifter too. This book was funny and sweet and taught me that everyone is like an animal in some way, has their own little characteristics.
Delightfully original July 23, 1999 An absolute delight: witty, charming, heartfelt, and original. Owl has some problems that will be familiar to any teenager: her difficulty fitting in and making friends; her crush on a teacher; the strange but cute boy her own age; parents who are well-meaning but don't understand. But those common issues are seen from the point of view of a character who is literally alien, as much owl as she is girl. The result is both startling and funny, and makes these archetypal problems and their resolution seem fresh and new. The characters are all sympathetic and believable, if odd. Utterly unique.
