The trickery!! December 1, 2008 Just thought I'd write a quick review incase anyone else makes the same mistake. For some reason I thought I was going to recieve a cute little book with a ribbon that ties around the middle. Nope, the cute little book is in fact a picture of a cute little book on the front cover of a normal looking book (hope that made sense). I've added some pictures for you.
When my mum bought this as a gift for me, we took a gamble as to what the inside would be like. This payed off. The inside is gorgeous, full of lovely quotes and pictures and sections for 'books to read', 'record of books read', 'books I want to own', 'sharing books', 'book groups', 'books to remember', 'book passages' and 'address book'.
Overall I'm really pleased! But if your expecting a cute book with a ribbon that ties around the front, then don't be so blumming stupid :P
A gladly received gift November 11, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this as a gift for a friend's 60th birthday and wasn't too sure if she'd like it or find it a bit patronising. She absolutely loved it and regaled me with quotes about books from it. The book is well structured, with plenty of room for a book lover to enter details of the books they own, would like to own and have read. It is also very attractive and would be an ideal gift for a book loving friend, whether they be male or female.
Great Book for Records January 24, 1999 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I found "A Book Lover's Diary" to be a great place for keeping track of books you want to own, book club meetings and book records. It's very nicely formatted with great qoutes on books in between records. It made it a lot easier for me to remember books that I would like to read/buy later on. If you're a forgetful person like I am, this "diary" would definitely help.
