Bought this and took it back after one day - the main problem is that I am 5'10" and I found that the hose wasn't long enough for me, even when fully extended. I was getting back ache in just a few minutes due to leaning over because of the short hose. My other half is 6'3" so had more of a problem. The other issues are that I felt it was flimsy, that it didn't pick up too well on a carpet (tho good on hard floors) and had a small capacity. We bought the Bosch BSG71266GB instead which is 50 cheaper and found it instantly better.

My DC22 is one of the best purchases I've made all year. It's very effective, not too noisy (contrary to other reviews here) and stows away very neatly.
The dust container really doesn't hold much, and needs emptying at least once per house-clean, but the build quality is excellent and emptying is mess-free.
I bought a turbine head separately, but in truth the flat head supplied is fine for most carpets.
