1 out of 5 stars Disappointing, to be honest.   December 6, 2007
This book on first glance looks like the long-overdue written tribute the band deserve. It is anything but. A hurried cut and paste job with glaring errors and.... whole pages of colour photos of OTHER contemporary artists IN A (very thin) SLADE BOOK? Did they run out of things to say about the group?

Save your money for the excellent Chris Charlesworth book that sometimes turns up in the Amazon marketplace. This one is Stark Bilge.

4 out of 5 stars A History Of Slade   August 25, 2006

Forget the comments by the bitter old Status Quo fan - he must be having a bad day. This book is just what we needed. It is the first history of Slade book since Chris Charlesworth biography over 20 years ago. It is long awaited and is excellent. It will serve the purpose of introducing the Slade history to all the new fans out there who only know about Dave Hill's and Don Powell's Slade II. Excellent. Good pics. A good read.

1 out of 5 stars 40 years of Slade and this is all you get.   May 22, 2006

we are all still Slade crazee? I AM CERTAINLY NOT!! 40 years and the only thing to come out is recycled garbage. Use this to light the November bonfires with.

Release some new stuff that hasn't been seen before like the Earls Court 73 footage or even a new Documentary
