Hilarious! October 11, 2008 I totally loved this film and after owning it a week, I'd watched it 3 times - Seth's infectious laugh is enough to make me laugh! If you like Forgetting Sarah Marshall or 40 Year Old Virgin, you should like this! Think this is actually funnier than both of them to be honest! Paul Rudd is hilarious as always and really makes this film, "I'm gonna throw you in my Delorian and gun it to '88" - my fave line from the film lol!!!
Try it, I think you'll like it!!
Pretty lame! September 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This film sucks! The script, direction and storyline are sooooo dull! OK, the acting's not too bad and there are a couple of mildly amusing moments but we were itching for the credits to roll after about an hour.
In the right context, I really don't mind swearing in films but obscene language seems to have been added for no other reason than to raise the age classification to 15 (UK). This really doesn't make sense as the target audience (12 year old girls) will miss out on seeing this. I wouldn't waste my time unless, of course, you're a 12 year old girl.
Mindless,un-pc idiotic, but enjoyable enough August 17, 2008 This is a film designed to entertain, the characters are 2 dimensional and unsympathetic, don't interact well and serve only to move the story from one scene to another. That said, it is enjoyable enough and didn't make me want to gouge my eyes out. If you want an unplanned pregnancy flick with depth and heart buy Juno. If you just want to laugh, buy this.
i
likeable characters and one or two very funny moments August 9, 2008 A man gets a woman pregnant on what she thinks is a one night stand, they hardly know each other, but decide to see if they should stay together for the sake of the baby.I would describe this as a film with likeable characters that moves along at a gentle pace with one or two very funny moments but it is generally only mildly amusing. The film is only suitable for people 15 years and older because of strong language and drug use.
Very funny August 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
`Knocked Up' stars Seth Rogen as Ben - an immature, out of work lay about who meets Alison (Katherine Heigl) who is a career-driven TV presenter, in a club and a few weeks later Alison finds out that she is pregnant. Although they have nothing in common, the two then try their best to build a relationship and even just get along.
I love some of the other films by the writer of Knocked Up, such as Anchorman and The 40 Year Old Virgin and this is better than them both. From the start it is crude and hilarious. The characters are all as wacky and funny as in the other films and they all gets involved in some truly side-splitting scenarios.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking to just laugh for 2 hours, so as long as you don't mind a bit of offensive comedy then this is for you.
