Limited Success May 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have tried the Lion Roar without success so I thought I'd give the Cat Repeller a go as opposed to the more expensive water scarecrow option.
It's easy to set up and so far the battery has lasted three months but make sure to turn it off if your in the garden so not to waste the battery.
Our neighbours cat had two favourite spots in our garden so we aimed the repeller there. We seemed to have initial success but it has returned and marked the spot once in three months which is a great improvement.
However the cat has found a route around the detector and although it has not left us with any unwanted gifts in the garden it is still a nuisance.
The only thing it definately doesn't like is a good soaking so if it persists then I think the Water Scarecrow will be the next step.
Absolutely useless May 19, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Either all the cats in my neighborhood are stone deaf or it's a complete waste of money.
Worked for us May 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Let me cut to the chase: if you are thinking of buying one of these then don't hesitate and buy one now! We used to have a real problem with seemingly every cat in the neighbourhood, including our own, using the right hand side of our back lawn as a lavatory. Whenever I used to mow the lawn I would have to 'de-poo' the lawn first, which would result in half a carrier bag full of cat poo, every week. In the two weeks since we have had the Big Cheese I have found three 'gifts' from the local cats, which were clearly a rushed job, and therefore easy to scoop away. Long may it continue!
What a load of rubbish and waste of money May 13, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this as i have stray cat that keeps coming to my window annoying my house cats, so i bought this thinking if i place it outside the window this will keep the pest at bay!!! what an understatment, the first night i installed it within 5 minutes the pesty cat was at my window, what a waste of money believe me dont buy it!!!!!
Working ok so far May 12, 2008 I have had this product for a week now and it took some time to kick in. Its now been 4 days where it has been clear from cats mess. So its looking promising. Dont expect it to deter the cats straight away, but eventually it will. I do wonder maybe i should get another 1 to increase the detterent.
