After seeing the film I just had to get this soundtrack - just for the feel-good factor it inspires.
It's a truly remarkable soundtrack, the whole cast belt out the songs with such gusto and enthusiasm it's impossible not to want to sing along.
Loved all the tracks but especially those sung by the three ladies,
Meryl Streep, Julie Walters and Christine Baranski.

I have not yet seen the film, but have so enjoyed seeing excerpts from 'Mama Mia' and hearing the fantastic soundtrack which just oozes energy and enjoyment on the part of the whole cast I just had to buy the C.D. My favourite excerpt so far, is Meryl Streep and the rest of the girls joined by what seems the women of the village dancing and singing 'Dancing Queen' through the streets. I think Meryl leads this film brilliantly, and I feel that criticism is mainly from people who think she is only an actress, albeit a brilliant one, and has no right to be in a leading, singing role - but she is a trained opera singer and I personally love her voice. Also, what a lovely change for our own Julie Walters to be in a glamourous, singing role for once, instead of yet another downtrodden little old lady! Well done to everyone associated with this film - Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth included!

I saw ABBA in concert in 1979 and have collected their CDs over many years and seen Mamma Mia on stage in London And Edinburgh.
This is a terrific soundtrack! The songs sound as fresh as ever, Meryl Streep has a great voice, but the surprise to me is how good Pierce Brosnan sings on "When All Is Said And Done", my favourite track on the CD. He would be great singing country songs.
