re autoroute miss routing September 24, 2008 i have the 2005 version and i agree with the london-heysham comment. i put in a route from the rotterdam ferry port to Kalmthout, ajourney of 62 miles, it routed via ferry to HULL then by road, 258 mile,to DOVER then a journy of 82 mile by road to Kalmthout, do the "dover ferry" guys pay back-handers to microsoft one wonders !!!!

the messages that are written are very mixed and dont give an accurate picture of the product
Fine for very basic mapping but that's about all July 23, 2008 I have version 2005 and the London To Heysham bug is in that as well. It's ridiculous. Autoroute was great in the late 90s when there was only basic GPS and you coulod hook it up to your laptop......now it's a bit of a pointless excercise with the sub 100 GPS units available. The BIGGEST reason NOT to buy is the fact Microsoft sought to buy out all the small guys and then do NOTHING with it, no updates or anything. That kind of neglect will ensure I'll never buy Autoroute again in any form even if it were neccesary!
I only wanted it for one thing - and it does it well July 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having read the other reviews I was worried.
Very worried.
But I only wanted autoroute for one thing
I am on the road a lot, and I can import from an excel spreadsheet the details of my clients and they appear on the map screen! So I can plan journeys to reduce maileage and with fuel prices as high as they are that soon saves the cost of the software. I have nothing to add on any other comment, but this feature alone makes it a must have.

Absolutely unreliable. As such clearly it could only be produced by Microsoft and they expect you to put up your hard earned money! Avoid at ANY price.
