Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
"Sweet Sweet Briar, Our pretty little rose. A breath of fresh air Wherever she goes." Sweet Briars parents think shes the sweetest thing in the world. But Sweet Briar is a skunk, and she smells like one. On the first day of school, no one wants to play with her at all! But soon Sweet Briar helps her classmates look beyond their noses to see just how special she is. This unique approach to acceptance will strike a chord in the heart of every child.

5 out of 5 stars Dealing with stinky school experiences   August 2, 2004

Sweet Briar starts school and much to her surprise the other animals tease her about being a skunk. This continues until Sweet Briar's odoriforous nature saves the day. The story has a good message about valuing peoples' differences and the impact of teasing. My two young children really enjoyed hearing it- the illustrations are wonderful as is Karma Wilson's writing.
