4 out of 5 stars Good Stuff   March 12, 2007
Excellent work by Sue Mallory, who now works for Volunteer Central, via Group Publishing. Very good, though a bit tough to connect with her work there (versus when she had her own organization). This is a companion to the book, which tells the delightful story of her work to join with the staff of her church as a volunteer. Systems oriented. Integrates the field of volunteer administration with spiritual giftedness. Can be a bit overwhelming because of its depth, but still very good.

This is a thoughtful, practical and biblical approach to developing, implementing and improving Lay Ministry programs. If I had to get rid of all of my Lay Ministry resources but one - this is the one I would keep. This is very practical yet does not pretend that "one size fits all." There are samples of handouts from various churches of all sizes and denominations. There are suggestions for working with various groups within the church to facilitate success of equipping lay ministers. Sue Mallory knows her stuff and has helped me beyond measure.

5 out of 5 stars Equipping Church Guidebook   January 5, 2007
This book is the template for our Equipping Ministry program at New Hope. It is well layed out and comprehensive. The only concern was it was hard to follow.

5 out of 5 stars Back To Basics   September 24, 2005
This guidebook can change the way your pastor is thinking and get him back on track as a church leader. Give him a copy and see what happens. Be sure and read at least the first 50 pages yourself.
