Border Lord's Bride June 4, 2008 As always, Beatrice Small has given me an entertaining read. I have enjoyed all of her other books and she didn't let me down this time.
Very Hard to Finish May 18, 2008 Ellen MacArthur's is Highlander lass who is sent to James the fourth court, when word the her grandsire is dying Duncan Armstrong, the Laird of Duffdour is asked to see her home. When she arrives she finds her grandsire and betrothed dead. Forced to flee, Ellen finds shelter with Duncan for the winter and in the spring they are command to married by James. But Ellen finds the Borders to be a dangerous place. "The Borders Lord's Bride" is the second book by Bertice Small and I have to say that I found very hard to finish. At times I felt that was be given an history lesson and not reading a romance novel. I am hoping that the final book features Mordac Bruce and that its better.
Small writes in a BIG way May 4, 2008 A multi decade fan of this historical romance now futuristic romance writer - I must give her high marks for this wonderful chronicle!!!
ZZZZZ! April 12, 2008 BORING! Hated the main characters, the ending was mediocre, I think I'm done with Ms. small's books!!!
Gift for Mom January 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought about 9 various Beatrice Small books for my mom to read. She is an avid reader and fan of Beatrice's books. I can't speak about the book itself, but I am pleased with my ability to order all the books that she needed to complete out the series. She was elated to receiver her shipment of new books. No complaints!
