Comments From an Emerging Artist April 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ray Balkwill's advice and practical painting demonstrations in different mediums allow you to create a finished landscape. Emerging artists would find this a good reference book. He has exercises to follow showing the different mediums and techniques are explained step by step. His paintings depict the open-air scene in a free and painterly way that captures light and atmosphere. I enjoyed this book and his approach. It is easy to follow and worth having in your library.
