| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description On December 5th, 1600, Pope Clement VIII founded and endowed the Scots College in Rome for the training of priests and, at least initially, the education of the sons of Scottish noblemen. The Scots College worked to provide priests with the strength to maintain the faith in desperate times, particularly in the heartlands of North-East Scotland and the Western Isles. These nine essays are the first scholarly attempt at a complete history of the college.
