Wonderful Artwork and Touching Stories March 13, 2008 My 2 year old son sits through many chapters of the Frog and Toad books. I am so grateful for them, as I find them wonderful to read aloud, and I don't tire of them over and over as I do other books. My son is so enamored with the artwork. He will fequently pull the book close to his face to gaze at the artwork on each page, especially when there are other animals introduced besides Frog or Toad. Our favorite is the Swim, where Frog is embarrassed by his swimming suit, and the mouse, lizard, snake, turtle and others all find is suit very funny!
Perfect for Beginning Chapter Book Readers! (about 2nd grade) February 24, 2008 When I was a kid, I absolutely loved Frog & Toad! As a 2nd grade teacher, Frog and Toad were used as "beginning chapter books" for my students. Reaching the "Frog and Toad" level was a big deal for my kids. I remember the look of excitement on a little boy's face when he opened up Frog and Toad knowing he was really ready to read and understand it for the first time. I'm sure he'll adore the story for a lifetime and love to share it with his kids, too. The excitement and pride in his eyes makes me treasure the years I taught. Thank you, Arnold Lobel, for creating treasured stories and reading level milestones in our reading library. We love you!

Chapter book good for early elementary December 16, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Frog and Toad make a great team and my son loves to read through the books. His younger sister can pick out Frog and Toad pictures when we are out and about, even before I recognize them. Cute little adventures of Frog and Toad lead to valuable lessons for children in the elementary age bracket of K-3rd. Buy the pack, not the individuals, for hours of fun.
Great read aloud stories. May 24, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 2 year old loves these books. They are the first books that she has sat through that have more text than pictures. We also bought the CDs and she listens to that at night as part of her bedtime routine.
My favorite books as a young reader. May 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Frog and Toad books stand the test of time. Still funny, engaging, original and adorable 30 years later. I buy them for all my friends' children now. Be sure to read the story "Cookies". :)))
