very fun for all ages September 1, 2008 I have 4 children under 6, and bought a copy of this book for each child. I really like the prompts and 'interviews' as well as the pocket folders with suggestions for keepsakes. I keep a journal for each child that I write in regularly, but this book is more of a celebration of the year (or the moment!) and the prompts are zany, silly, motivational, and most certainly fun! It's nice to have one place to put birthday invites, holiday cards, hand prints, etc. from each year. Their traditional baby books end around 1 or 3 years old, and this one goes up to 18, which will be a blast to see once it's all filled in! (though I'm not rushing to have my children be all grown up!)
Awesome Birthday Keepsake May 26, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my daughter's first birthday and it is so adorable! It is cute, but not overly cutesy. It would be great for a boy or girl. There are really interesting questions to ask your child as she grows from toddler to an adult! Love it!
The gift that keeps on giving... for 18 years! March 27, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the perfect gift for your friend and thei child's first birthday! The book is organized with one section per year from 1 to 18 years. There is pocket with an idea list of what to collect for every year, as well as a place for the parent to record and to interview their child. After 18 years the parent writes one more note and presents their baby, who is all grown up now, with a time capsule of their life. How cool is that!? My baby is due next month and I can't wait to start filling the pages! Unlike the baby book that records the first year, this one gives you 18 YEARS of memories!!
great book February 14, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I ordered this for my son who just turned 9. I have had great intentions of grand scrapbooks, but they have never happened. This was perfect for my needs, I just wish I had know about it earlier. Spots for a few pictures, pockets for small keepsakes, and great questions, as well as "interactive" projects for the kids to represent their point of view. A quick, fun way to capture the previous year and celebrations of their birthday. I have just ordered 2 more to give as gifts to friends with very young children.
