This is a marvelously written book. It is eloquent in description, rich in character development, and riveting in action. Any one of the Outlander series is an exceptional adventure in reading.

 A Fantastic Story of Romance woven in history August 1, 2007
A friend gave this book to read. Four hours later I was still reading the book. I finished it over the next several days and I thought it was just a wonderful story. I understand that Dragon Fly is the second book in a series, so I won't hesitate to order the first book Outlander. Ms. Gabaldon is such a gifted writer that knows how to weave a story with history, romance and intrigue. I just love this novel and would recommend it to all my friends.

I love to listen to audio cd's. This one is great because the Davina Porter does a really great job of capturing the characters as she reads. I loved it.
