Slow read November 12, 2008 This book was chosen by my book club. It was a very slow read, and didn't flow well.
Couldn't put it down September 23, 2008 I found this book very honest & interesting. I gave it to a friend who said the same thing. I wish she had written more books.
Never got my book September 9, 2008 Liquidate-4-me never shipped my book. it took over a month to get my refund..Lame
Jackson, Ms. August 12, 2008 In several books I've read regarding Southern History and slavery, this story actually surpised me. Without giving much detail, she becomes famous overnight. Ironic, but to drive into Jackson, Ms. you would never guess just how dangerous a place with was, in fact, all along the Delta and Mississippi was dangerous. She's a born fighter. Good book, takes off towards the end.
Coming of Age May 31, 2008 A must read for anyone interested in first hand accounts of the Civil Rights movement in the United States.
