Bear Has a New Friend is a charming 'Bear' book by Karma Wilson. We've enjoyed these books and their beautiful illustrations. If you are looking for a short children's book with colorful pictures, this is a good choice.

This author is just really really good. Not much more to say. Sweet story, easy and short, kids love it. Nothing too dramatic. GREAT illustrations. You just want to keep checkin' in with Bear and his new stories to see what's up. Can't go wrong, especially as a gift book.
Great book for young readers September 26, 2007
We bought this for our 5yr old at a Scholastic book fair (much cheaper) and she loves it. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is cute and flows well. This is a great book for beginning readers who've mastered their basic sight words and are ready for something a little more. The rhyming verse and the visual clues, along with the simple sentence structure all provide great clues for figuring out new words. It also makes the book easy to read out loud.

This is another great bear book. My kids love them and I love reading them to the kids. The pictures are so nice, as well. A great addition.
