5 out of 5 stars Done Right FINALLY!!   November 14, 2008
It seems I have been waiting my whole life for a Batman movie like this one. I only wish it was the first one. Its very satisfying to see the character done right.

5 out of 5 stars Begins completely different   November 7, 2008
What's not to love about this movie. It's got everything a good action movie should have and more. I've always loved the Tim Burton "Batman" movies but they were good for their time and this is a new Batman, for a new day. The darker ,edgier look of this movie is what I think most comic book fans want. I'm really not saying anything you haven't probably already read. Oh yeah, it looks great in HD.

3 out of 5 stars 5 stars for actual movie, 3 stars for item condition   November 3, 2008
While i've to admit, Batman Begins is hands-down the best Bat-movie ever (that was, until The Dark Knight surpassed it in every angle), the sad part was that i've received my Limited Edition Batman Begins Blu-ray edition that wasn't in mint condition.

The package looks a bit bloated, like it was exposed to water or something. This couldn't have happened because of the courier guys since the actual box itself wasn't bloated nor was there any trace of wetness to it. Luckily, the content wasn't damaged. But still, it loses its aesthetics and/or collector's value to it. Couldn't be bothered sending this back to Amazon for a replacement since i've to chug out some extra cash for it (mind you it's not cheap to send over to America from Malaysia).

I am no stranger to ordering DVDs and Blu-rays from Amazon (it's been 2 years already). Since this is the first time this has happened to me, it's fine. Just hope this wouldn't happen again. Amazon, beef up okay?

4 out of 5 stars Batman Begins   November 2, 2008
Batman Begins [Blu-ray] This movie and The Dark Knight are my two favorite batman movies so far. Wonderful acting by all. Great Story and effects and Christian Bale gives his all and doesn't take the role as child's play and that really sells it. The Batman movies, Spiderman movies and the original Superman movie with Christopher Reeves is how superhero movies should be done. Watch these before making a superhero movie directors. Yes I mean you.

4 out of 5 stars Great flick, slow DVD start   October 31, 2008
The BD version takes the SD version to a whole new level! The colors are brighter, the clarity even better and the audio is fantastic - just as you would expect with a great movie in a full HD format. The only flaw is that this disk starts up rrrreeeeaaallllyyyy slow - so slow that I was all ready to send it back to Amazon for a replacement when I tossed it into our player (Samsung BD-P1400, firmware dated 09/08) one last time and then got distracted by a phone call; when I returned, the movie was up and running like normal. Our family estimates that it takes about 3 minutes to bring up the main menu... Outside of this flaw, everything else is great.
