great product for the price! November 18, 2008 I am glad we purchased the Graco Snugrider. We keep it in the car and use for quick trips shopping or running errands. The basket is a generous size. It doesn't ride as smoothly as we would like, but for the price you can't beat it. I do not reccomend it as your only stroller, as I do not think it would do well on bumpy sidewalks, or any less than smooth surface.
Mostly good, but some cheap plastic pieces November 9, 2008 This item is quite good, but the cupholder tends to fall off at the drop of a hat and the plastic piece that secures the child car seat seems to bend quite easily. We use it a lot, but wish it were a little heavier duty.
much better than a full-on stroller for 0-6 mo October 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm so glad we elected to do the baby bucket + stroller base frame rather than one of those full-metal stroller systems. For one thing, the frame is a lot lighter and easier to fold and get in and out of a trunk -- a LOT easier. Also, by the time my son reached the age when the bucket + frame no longer worked for us, we had come to realize that the kind of stroller we wanted was a lightweight umbrella-style stroller, NOT one of those massive things that come as part of a stroller-carseat-base system.
My only quibble with this frame is that it didn't quite stand up to the huge strain we put on it. My son needed to be pushed back and forth for hours at a time in order to sleep when he was a newborn, and so the beating this frame took was probably miles more than it was designed for. It started to squeak and became a little wobbly, such that my husband had to keep spraying lubricant and tightening bolts to keep it quiet enough not to wake the boy up and sturdy enough that we didn't worry about it falling to bits.
For normal use, though, I'm sure it would be just fine.
So far so good October 21, 2008 I just received my stroller frame in the mail today and I LOVE IT! I have not used it but I can imagine the usage that I will get out of it. It is perfect for those quick runs to doctors appointments, mall, to the store. I love my Graco travel system however it is heavy and it is not good to pull out for a quick errand. My baby is 2 months old today so hopefully I will have this for a while. I will use it for future kids and will recommend this to friends and family. I do agree with the small cup holders, however with my safe seat it looks like I can get to the basket with no problem. This is a very econmical option and a must for any parent!
I love this stroller frame! October 16, 2008 With my first child, I did what a lot of parents do: buy a Travel System. The stroller part of that system was bulky and heavy and I dreaded trying to get it into the trunk of my compact car. Once my first child was old enough, I dumped the Travel System stroller and bought another lightweight stroller. With my second child, I bought this frame and it fit my SnugRider carseat just fine. The car seat part snap/latches in the front and 2 levers pull out to hold the sides. This stroller pushes incredibly smoothly. With the Travel System I bought previously, it was always an effort to push the stroller. I have taken this over smooth sidewalks, unpaved trails and light gravel and it rolls over them with a minimal of effort. The only 2 complaints are almost not worth mentioning but I will anyway. First, the single handed closing of the frame isn't single handed for left handed parents. This is a common problem I have being left-handed and my 11-yr old who is right handed has no problem with it. Second, when you open and close the latch that holds the system standing up, it isn't always easy. Sometimes it comes apart and I have to do it again or I have to turn it around to unlatch it. I think this also is because I'm left-handed but it is workable.
