3 out of 5 stars Nice pan for the price   November 2, 2008
I purchased this pan a few years ago - still in use, but from day one the pan has not been a favorite because of food sticking to it. The pan is solid and will last and at $30 the price is nice too (I hope nobody every paid the list price for this pan $150+...ouch).

4 out of 5 stars Mine was made in Toledo, Ohio...   October 31, 2008

I bought mine from Amazon almost 4 years ago, and I use it a few times a month...it has held up very well! Very versatile...great for steaming or sauteeing vegies with onions & garlic...or making an egg fritata.
Mine is stamped "Made in Toledo, Ohio"...the product description says "China"...so I can't say what the newer version is like, though.

5 out of 5 stars A true workhorse!   October 25, 2008

I have owned this pan for a year, along with several other Calphalon nonstick pans. I find myself reaching for this pan way more than my others. It did take a few adjustments to get used to cooking without the nonstick, but i love it! Just heat up the pan a few minutes before using, add your oil, then add your ingredients. I find letting the meats sit at room temp for about 30 min. beneficial to keep them from sticking to the pan. Thats it! You get a beautiful sear from this pan, unlike nonstick pans.
Clean up is a breeze with a little soaking, and Barkeepers Friend. This is truly my everyday pan.
I dont understand all the bad reviews, unless they arent used to cooking with an anodized pan. I would compare this pan to a cast iron skillet, without the weight, and much much easier to clean. It really does get seasoned after a few uses.

5 out of 5 stars Great Pan!   October 10, 2008

I didn't buy this pan from Amazon , I got in NIB from eBay for 29.99 . I cant understand the poor reviews. If you know how to use this product (by reading the directions) , its type and the little buttons on your stove that control the heat you shouldn't have an issue with this pan.

I love this pan , I would recommend it to anyone.

1 out of 5 stars Bypass this Pan!   September 20, 2008

I purchased this pan almost two years ago. I have been nothing but disappointed in it, which is surprising because everything else that I have purchased from Calphalon is wonderful and worth every penny. This pan, however, is not! Everything sticks to it. All types of food and this is while using every nonstick spray, butter and many different types of oil to prevent the sticking. Nothing works. A few months ago, I had finally had it with this pan after cooking many aggravating meals with it. I went to Target and bought a similar Calphalon pan with a see through glass lid. It has been a wonderful replacement.
