My error. I thought I was buying a non-stick type pan. Not so with this particular Calphalon line. It is a nice size, nice lid as well. Didn't notice it didn't have a single handle. Getting it to cook
properly has been a learning process. If you want non-stick avoid
this one.

This pan is wonderful! More than I even expected it to be, and WHAT an amazing value. It's big enough to work with and the hard-anodized composition allows food not to stick, without the worry that comes with Teflon products. I love this pan!
 Good Pan, Great Value July 29, 2008
In general, you really can't go wrong with Calphalon. I picked up this plan to add to our completely calphalon collection. It is a great everyday pan, durable, with a wide base. It isn't really non-stick though, so make sure you use some non-stick spray. I had a tough time getting some food off of it the other day. But overall, a pretty good pan for a great price.

This pan is fabulous! I only gave it 4 stars because it was described as non-stick; well, it doesn't have a non-stick coating, but the secret is to heat the pan and not the oil; only add the oil when ready to immediately follow with the food! It cooks evenly and cleans up well after soaking in hot soapy water. I won't be putting mine in the dishwasher, but some say you can. Also, since the handles aren't plastic, you can broil in the oven! It is a very sturdy pan I figure we'll have "forever" -and for the price, I don't care if it's non-stick or not.
