5 out of 5 stars Eggcelent Egg Cooker   November 12, 2008

I needed a new egg cooker, as my old one finally gave up. It works great! Poaches, hard boils...perfect for whatever type of egg you are wanting.

5 out of 5 stars Love this egg cooker   November 9, 2008
My husband is the breakfast cooker in our home and I got the Oster 4716 egg cooker for him to try instead of the "boil on top of the range" type cooker. He absolutely loves it. He prides himself in poached eggs on toast and the eggs are cooked just right and slide right off the poaching plate. He tried the hard cooked eggs and the shells just slid off the eggs.

This egg cooker worked great for about the first week. Now, sometimes it works fine, sometimes (usually) it shuts off way too early. I can push the button 2-3 times and that will sometimes work, but I never know how the eggs will be cooked.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome egg coooker   September 24, 2008

We love this egg cooker: it poaches 4 eggs (most do just 3); it turns off automatically (most you have to turn off when done); you just fill the resevoir with water to the desired level (ie: how done you you want your eggs); it is compact and it has a see-through cover. We use our cooker almost everyday and it has held up well. We tried another brand and we did not like it at all (Chef's Choice)--it leaked on the counter, only had room to poach 3 eggs, had to be turned off when it beeped (no leaving the kitchen to get ready while eggs cooked!). Overall, really pleased with the purchase.

Oster Egg Cooker I love this egg cooker...it's a little messy even with boiling the eggs but if you spray a little oil on it, everything comes off pretty easily. Makes PERFECT boiled and poached eggs. My husband even uses it and he's quite frightened of the kitchen and even the word 'cooking'!! TIP: I stick an extra egg in the center of the hard boiling part even though it's not made for another egg, gives me 8 perfectly hard boiled eggs every time!! Helps when you're making deviled eggs for a party and have alot to do!
