Polder Timer November 18, 2008 This is an excellent little timer that does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is simple to use and has given me no problems. I especially like the fact that it can be set for more than one hour.
First one didn't work, replacement is great November 15, 2008 The first timer I received must have gotten damaged in shipping -- didn't work at all. I was very impressed by Amazon's customer service, however, which sent a replacement that came the next day. The replacement timer works fine, and is just as convenient as I'd hoped. I really needed a vibrating timer for times when someone else is sleeping in the room where I'm working -- and this one is very easy to use. The fate of the first unit means this product is probably pretty fragile -- probably wouldn't withstand being dropped -- but that's the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.
Made this purchase based on the reviews November 13, 2008 and, I have to say, they were absolutely correct. I wasn't sure this was the timer I wanted but everyone's opinions were so positive. It is so easy to use and far more accurate than my old egg timer with bell. Since it is so lightweight, compact and portable, I find I use it far more frequently. One of my better purchases.
Plenty loud November 12, 2008 I work in audio recording where I need to turn things off at the precise moment. The timer is loud enough if you place it on a table and put it on sound and vibrate. The vibrate is louder than the sound if it can rattle on a hard surface.
I can also carry it on my belt if need be.
Great Features, Poor Quality November 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this timer about three weeks ago, and have used it regularly since then. The features behave as advertised, and I found it easy to use and perfectly suited for kitchen use. Unfortunately, it completely stopped working yesterday, and is now a $15 piece of trash. My advice: try to find a higher quality product. I'm going to.
