My granddaughter kept telling me about this movie and soundtrack. I finally watched the movie and since both she and I enjoyed it so much I just had to buy it. While not sung by the Beatles, it sure brings back a lot of memories. Very well done! Across The Universe [Deluxe Edition]
Great Soundtrack November 22, 2008
Songs are polished and changed but I think the integrity of the song is stil there. Nice interpretations. For example "I wanna hold your hand" and "While my guitar gently weeps". Great versions. Lots of good stuff.
If you loved the movie, you'll like the soundtrack November 18, 2008
I originally purchased the single disc version of this soundtrack, but after a few weeks of listening to it, and seeing the movie another time, I decided that I wanted ALL of the songs. The songs are slightly different from the movie, presumably to make a better soundtrack experience, but only a close listener should be able to discern the differences. As a whole, if you love the movie, or The Beatles, then you'll like this soundtrack.

if you love the Beatles, then you will love this CD. its so wonderful and every song is completely different...modern with a Beatles twist, Bono is great, as well as Eddie Lizzard. voices are soothing and easy to listen to. definitely a great CD and a great movie.

The music from the movie "Across The Universe" is just as outstanding as the film itself. This will stir emotions in you that have been dormant for decades. The performances are truly stellar. This CD is in my top three list of best music of all time.
